Automotive Service Technician – Kitchener Ford

Kitchener Ford is looking for a reliable and skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our service team. We operate a busy, professional service department and are looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, clear communication, and providing excellent customer service.

Our service centre works on a wide range of vehicles, including Ford trucks, SUVs, vans, sedans, and coupes. We also support commercial and fleet customers, so experience with larger trucks and fleet vehicles is considered an asset. Responsibilities

• Perform routine automotive maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, transmission services, air conditioning service, alignments, battery replacements, and light installations
• Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair
• Complete diagnostic procedures to identify customer concerns and provide accurate repair recommendations
• Inspect vehicles according to applicable safety and service standards
• Perform necessary repairs accurately and efficiently
• Test drive vehicles when required to confirm concerns and completed repairs
• Maintain clear, accurate, and legible service documentation
• Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe
• Support a positive and productive service department environment

Requirements

• Licensed Automotive Service Technician status
• Previous automotive repair experience
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with trucks, SUVs, vans, sedans, and coupes
• Fleet or larger truck experience is an asset
• Reliable, professional, and team-focused attitude
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Valid driver’s licence
• Ford or dealership experience is an asset, but not required
